They are in good condition and have plenty of charm. Some of the rooms have a balcony and a fantastic view of the Rhine.The spacious breakfast room has good views of the river. It has large windows and consequently is very light. In addition there are 2 restaurants - the "Le Gourmet" which offer international light cuisine and the "Kanne" for a more informal meal. It has a tiled floor, wood panelled walls and intimate alcoves. The restaurants are open from May to October. The large dining room "Burgkeller" in the basement, with its adjoining bar, doubles as a discoteque or venue for bands at the week-end during the summer season.The hotel consists of the main building and the adjoining guests house. The front of the main building faces the river promenade. It is a four storey building with a white facade and decorated with beautiful flower boxes.The medium sized lobby is simple in decor but welcomes the guest with a familiar and friendly atmosphere.Due to its location this hotel is a fantastic option for travellers not only to explore the city of Boppard but also the unique Rhine valley with its medivial castles. 11/08 LH
