In the war it was used to house serving American airmen. In the early 1950s, an extension was added and it became a bar and hotel. Not long after that, it became a full hotel with 12 en suite rooms, a restaurant and a bar. There is limited complimentary parking on-site and a designated disabled parking space. There is off-road parking in the streets nearby. All of the newly refurbished bedrooms come with a private bathroom with toiletries from Gilchrist and Somas and offer brand-new deep-pocket sprung divans, luxurious duvets and pillows.
