The castle was built in 1645. It is said that Mariane Dorethe, a previous owner, has haunted the castle since her death in 1808 to search for her child, who drowned in the moat. The Fårup Sommerland amusement park and the beaches on Blokhus are only a 20-minute drive from Vraa Slotshotel. It is 40 km from the town of Hirtshals. It has its own restaurant where you can eat a delicious dinner. After dinner you can go onto the terrace, or stroll in the garden by the restaurant.
