1) Our commitment
We strive to make our website usable by everyone. We follow inclusive design principles and test changes for accessibility impacts. Our goals include perceivable content, operable interfaces, understandable flows, and robust code that works with a variety of user agents and assistive technologies.
2) Scope & standards
- Standards: We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
- Coverage: Our public website, key customer flows (search, booking, support), and downloadable content we control.
- Third parties: Some content (e.g., maps, embedded widgets) is provided by third parties and may not fully meet our standards. See Limitations.
3) Key accessibility features
- Semantic structure: Landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), logical headings, and lists for screen reader navigation.
- Text alternatives: Meaningful
alttext for non-decorative images and labels for form controls. - Keyboard access: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard; visible focus indicators are maintained.
- Color & contrast: We use color contrasts generally meeting or exceeding WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Responsive layout: Content reflows on small screens without loss of information or functionality.
- Consistent UI: Predictable navigation patterns, link styles, and button behavior.
- Error prevention: Forms include clear labels, inline validation messages, and instructions.
- Motion & flashing: We avoid flashing content and reduce excessive motion. Decorative SVGs are marked as such.
- Language attributes: Pages include appropriate
langattributes; icons have accessible names when needed.
4) Keyboard navigation
Our pages support full keyboard use:
- Skip link: A “Skip to main content” link appears when focused.
- Navigation: Use
Tab/Shift+Tabto move focus,Enter/Spaceto activate, andArrowkeys in menus when applicable. - Focus: Focus states are visible and not suppressed.
If you encounter any keyboard trap or element that cannot be focused/activated, please report it.
5) Compatibility & assistive tech
We aim to support recent versions of major browsers and operating systems. Our content is designed to work with common assistive technologies, including:
- Screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
- Built-in platform features (e.g., high-contrast modes, zoom)
- Keyboard-only access and switch devices
Some embedded third-party services (e.g., map iframes) may have different levels of accessibility; we provide alternative contact options and information where feasible.
6) Limitations & known issues
Despite our efforts, some areas may not yet be fully accessible:
- Third-party widgets: Certain embedded tools (maps, payment iframes) are outside our full control.
- Legacy content: Older articles or media may lack full text alternatives.
- External documents: Some PDFs provided by suppliers might not be fully tagged for accessibility.
If you need an accessible alternative (e.g., plain-text itinerary or tagged PDF), contact us and we will provide it when reasonably possible.
7) Continuous improvement
- Accessibility is part of our design and QA checklists.
- We review new components for semantic structure, labels, and contrast.
- We welcome user feedback, audits, and suggestions.
